Despite swimming being a sport of individuality, South’s team works together to accomplish success. The season started in late November and ends in early February. So far, the girls have won every meet except for one.
Two weeks ago, 13 girls from the South team went to Counties on Saturday, January 11th. Siara Celetano set a new school record and won the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.19 seconds. Senior Eve McGuinness dominated in the IM-3rd place and breaststroke-3rd place.
This season has proved to have great success for Middletown High School South’s Swim team, and I have no doubt that their winning streak is not over.
