Brennan’s Big Basketball 300th Win
Congrats to Mr. Brennan!
As the crowd gathered at Toms River North arena on December 28th, 6:15pm, to play in the semi final for the WOBM Christmas Classic tournament, the girls basketball team was playing for a little more than just a win. If the girls walked away with the “W” it would be coach Brennan’s 300th win of his career. The girls faced a tough competitor, Red Bank Catholic which the team had problems with in previous years. Coach Brennan was unaware that his girls knew about his soon-to-be accomplishment, but, they knew, and his players were ready to celebrate! “I wasn’t aware that they were aware because we hadn’t talked about it at all,” Brennan explained. With the clock winding down, Middletown South came out with the victory 59-45 against RBC. Along with the win, Coach Brennan achieved his 300th win of his career at Middletown South. “To get a landmark win against a team with the history that RBC has, is nice,” Brennan said. As Coach Brennan tried to downplay his accomplishment, the girls on the team want it to be as special as possible for their coach who goes above and beyond for them, and who deserves to be recognized for achieving his 300th win.
