A Change in our Wardrobe: Winter Style Tips

Winter should not only induce a change in the weather but a transformation in your wardrobe as well. As the cold weather approaches, it is essential to have a wardrobe as versatile as Mother Nature; because the weather is unpredictable there are a couple efficient ways to save money, while having key items for any weather condition during this winter. Some staple clothing items for this winter include: high socks, scarves, and your favorite pea coat or North Face. It is necessary to stay warm whether you are seated in a classroom or on the bleachers outdoors of Middletown High School South. Dark jeans are required this season, as light wash jeans can disappear to the back of your closet. Winter calls for darker colors, unlike spring, which is known for necessitating the brightest of shades. Sweaters are ideal to throw on while being cozy and at the same time, stylish. Guys can experiment with khaki pants and flannels this season (although, most South male students don’t adhere to such a suggestion). As hard as it is to say goodbye to basketball shorts for them, there is a time and place for everything. Girls can take old spring and summer shirts and create layers with button down sweaters and scarves to stay warm, while also not having to buy new t-shirts or blouses. Guys can forgeo the Jordans and try Timberlands which provide warmth for their feet during the cold weather. No matter what style you are inclined to follow, is good to experiment with layers. By layering you can stay warm, yet fashionable. If you do not have high socks to keep your legs warm this winter, you can try cutting off part of an old sweater’s sleeve. By doing this you can wear them above boots and they will look fabulous. Heed these tips to have both a cost-effective and suave winter season!
