It is finally fall again, and that means Halloween is right around the corner! For most families and friends, it’s time to visit pumpkin patches or go to Halloween parties. However, here’s a list of other activities that can really spice up your fall season. 

Fright Fest:

Fright Fest is held by Six Flags Great Adventure from September 10 – October 31. Here you can experience a halloween decorated park with various characters that venture through the park and frighten you all night. At this time you can also go on rides. 

Casola Farms:

Casola Farms is open every Friday & Saturday from September 24 through October 31 at 7:00 pm and open every Sunday in October at 7:00 pm. Here you can pick any of their four attractions: Haunted Hayride of Terror, where you can travel into the backwoods of NJ where things may come alive; the 3D Haunted Barn, where images of creatures cling to the walls with claws and fangs, staring you down; The Living Maze, where you must escape through all the twists and turns; and finally the Marlboro Zombie Breakout, where you ride in an army truck and shoot zombies with a paintball gun. Which one will you try? 

Happy Day Farms Corn Maze:

Happy Day Farms Corn Maze is a family friendly experience for all ages. It is open on  Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in the fall. The maze includes 2 paths: a shorter one (15 min – 25 min), and a more challenging one (45 min – 60 min).

Skylands Jack O’Lantern Experience:

Skylands Jack O’Lantern Experience takes place from October 1- November 7. Here you can see 6000 Jack-O-Lanterns all carved with spectacular visuals. Enjoy a 45 minute walk with your family, friends, or lover. Roast smores, have apple cider, hot chocolate and coffee, and ride the ferris wheel and carousel, pick a pumpkin and listen to live music.

Brighton Asylum

The Brighton Asylum is for people who love a good scare. It has been rated one of the scariest haunted houses in NJ. They have all custom special effects, huge moving sets that interact with you, actor driven animatronics trying to devour you, haunts packed with veteran actors, for fun and scares at every turn.
