No Limits Café Hosts 5K and Half Marathon

It’s hard to build a restaurant from the ground up, especially when that restaurant had planned to open right before a pandemic. Fortunately for the No Limits Café, the restaurant in question, they’ve been able to open relatively recently and have been gaining more customers. No Limits Café is a restaurant located in Red Bank that aims to provide more jobs for adults with intellectual disabilities over the age of 21, which is the age limit for disability services in the state of New Jersey. As expressed on their website, “It is our belief that EVERYONE has the ability to be a contributing member of society.  Our employees will have a sense of pride and purpose, while serving our customers great food.” The café has been gaining more employees, customers, and donations over the past few months. In fact, the owners of the café are planning to host events in order to raise money to support the new restaurant and pay their workers properly. For instance, a 5k and half marathon occurred recently at Thompson Park. For $30, the event had included food, drinks, a variety of snacks before and after the event, water available on the course, and a finisher medal. The details of any future fundraisers will be posted on the No Limits Café website at https://www.nolimitscafe.org/. They’re also open Monday through Saturday from 11am – 3pm, so if you’re curious about supporting a local lunch café, consider grabbing a bite at No Limits Café!
