The American competition television series, Survivor, has been airing for the past 2 decades. This popular reality series has just broadcasted its 41st season, “A New Era” on September 21st 2021. On an Instagram video, host  of the show, Jeff Probst states, “‘You could refer to it as Survivor 2.0. You could call it the dawn of a new era, which it is. You could refer to Survivor 41 by saying ‘drop the 4, keep the 1’ because this is a brand new game,’” The cast members are isolated to the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji. They must compete in a multitude of different physically, mentally, and emotionally grueling challenges that truly test the limits of every individual on the show. The participants must form relationships with the other players, create alliances, and make extremely difficult decisions, even if that means turning your back on your closest friends to save yourself. The last one standing wins one million dollars. This show is a family friendly option that leaves you feeling personally connected to the cast members through the screen and rooting for America’s fan favorites, until the very end. Since as long as I can remember, my family has always gathered to watch the seasons of Survivor and it is something that we are always able to look back on as a fond memory. Be sure to watch out for Survivor 41. The newest episodes began airing on Wednesday, October 27.
