New Jersey Devils- The New Jersey last season were 28th out of 30 teams in scoring goals. The Devils have a very young and talented defense but they have a lot of trouble scoring offensively. The number one guy that needs to step up is Mike Cammalleri. The Devils are still in the rebuilding stage but they will have a bright future because of their young defensive core and fantastic goaltender Cory Schneider. The new comer for New Jersey is rookie center Pavel Zacha.

New York Rangers- The Rangers were eliminated by the Eastern Conference champions The Tampa Bay Lightning last season. I believe they are still in the top 3 in the Eastern Conference next to the Lightning and Penguins. The best newcomer on the team is Oscar Lindberg as he has scored four goals in the first four games.

New York Islanders- The New York Islanders had their best season in team history last year . The Captain, John Tavares, was top three in the NHL in points and one of the key reasons for the Islanders success. The Islanders look to be heading to the playoffs if they can stay healthy.

Philadelphia Flyers- The Flyers are an interesting team, last season they missed the playoffs but they had the top 5 point getter in the league in Jacob Voracek. Claude Giroux is the man that needs to step up and live up to his captaincy for the Flyers to have a shot of making the playoffs.
Pittsburgh Penguins- The Pittsburgh Penguins have been known as the top team with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin being on the team but they haven’t been to the conference final since 2009. The Pens are even more dangerous with the addition of the former Toronto Maple Leafs star Phil Kessel. In my eyes, it makes sense to call the Penguins one of the most dangerous teams in the NHL.
