Fly on the Eagle

Overheard in South’s Halls

Anna Mount, Staff Writer

A high school hallway. A place where hundreds of teenagers walk through every single day, five days a week, 180 days out of the year. A place where hundreds of students gossip about their days, friend group drama, and everything in between. The halls of Middletown South are filled with teachers and students talking. One thing everyone has in common is that there is always someone listening…

“My phone keeps correcting ‘Holmdel’ to ‘homeless.’”

“He broke up with me over Google Hangouts.”

“Don’t be a rat and take forty minutes.”

“There is always a time and a place for Subway Surfers, and this class seems like the place.”

“My shoulder sounds like a meat grinder.”
