Matthew McGrath is a senior at Middletown South and is also the co-sports editor, along with Ayo Oladeji, for the Eagle Eye. Matt is not your run-of-the-mill teenager, as he loves things that most Americans hate like soccer and Uzbek cuisine. Although he has zero instrumental talent, Matt’s favorite escape from the daily stress that accompanies being in high school is listening to music, ranging from underground alternative rock to classic hip-hop. Matt hopes to one day turn this journalism thing into a career so that he can make money while reviewing newly released music and complaining about politics; two things that he profoundly enjoys. If journalism does not pan out, Matt can always migrate to Sierra Leone and hunt for blood diamonds in order to support himself. Most importantly, Matt is keen on being happy and always tries to have fun regardless of the situation.
